Mission Statement The purpose of Skagit Women in Business is to provide all business and professional members a forum for the exchange of information and encouragement, to provide opportunities that will enhance members in their personal and professional goals; and provide access to guest speakers and other educational programs. Skagit Women in Business demonstrates this commitment by offering scholarships to assist deserving female students in any academic or vocational area, who have had a break in their education.
An open letter from our past Scholarship recipient: Dear Colleen and Skagit Women in Business ladies, I want to say thank you so much for the scholarship you gave me two years ago. I am graduating on Saturday from Eastern Washington University with my Masters in Social Work and am excited to move back to Skagit County and work in the social work field! I know I could not have done this without your support and the scholarship. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the scholarship and how much it meant to me. I am so happy to be coming home and starting my career here. Thank you again for your support and I hope you know how much it means to me to be supported by such wonderful women! Sincerely, Amanda Wharton
